Don't get mad, get stitching!
According to media reports cross stitching is now 'experiencing a revival' or a sure way of creating 'granny chic'. First there was Tom Katsumi's live stitching of the election results - hats off to him, in the early hours of the morning I'd be lucky to tell red from blue, let alone yellow from orange.

Now that's been followed up by the Turkish tattoo artist who creates cross-stitch effect tattoos. Eva Krbdk creates her designs using tiny crosses, just as stitchers do. Looking at the designs, I suspect the count is larger on skin than on fabric but it's equally as painstaking (and no untidy backs to worry about!).

But the cross stitch story that really amused me this week was the annoyed Santander customer who was so fed up with waiting for a replacement bank card that he cross stitched one. For the eagle-eyed among you, yes, technically it is only the chipped part that is full cross stitch but somehow I think the world would be a better place if we all took to cross stitching our protests...
