Well, it's another grey November day, perfect for stitching something that reminds you of summer - this is, of course, another benefit of any hobby that involves using colour - you can pick something bright and cheerful.
Right now, I'm working on the new Lady Elinor - I've taken the name of a colour from the 16th century Great Wardrobe lists and had a bit of fun turning it into 21st century colours. The cross stitch should be finished today or tomorrow and that just leaves the metallics, back stitching and beads. Then I've got to get it framed, so it will probably be the new year before it's out.
But enough of this! This post is all about sharing someone else's work. Following on from the theme of escaping the November weather, I've selected a new design from Tilton Crafts, which was posted on the Cross Stitch Showcase page this week.
It's called Blue Garden II and the chart is available here. I love beautiful gardens (provided someone else does the gardening) and I love wisteria, I could quite happily wander into this picture and sit at the table and relax for a while.
