The trouble with attempting to write a regular blog is that you do tend to feel guilty when you don't get round to updating it as often as you should. I've got really good reasons for not having updated it, so shouldn't be feeling guilty but I guess that's modern life for you.
Firstly, a new design is nearly finished. It's got loads of beads on it and although I have been doing them as I've gone along the final page of the chart had more than any others.
It's a fantasy design - completely different to anything I've done before. Once I've finished the beading it will need to go off to the framers, so I'm probably looking at another month before it's finished. In a break from my normal habits I've also started the next design - sometimes it's more convenient to stitch than attach beads! - which is also a fantasy design: a mermaid to be exact.
The next novel is also well on it's way - I'm about 58,000 words into the first draft. I'm hoping it will be finished by the end of the summer. When the editing will be finished is another matter altogether.
I found this image ont'interweb. It struck me it's as true for cross stitch designers as it is for novel writers - but there aren't any great quotes for cross stitch designers. Now that's given me an idea...
