A new release!
She's taken ages to come to fruition - I got the idea for the design back in 2014 - but today I've finally managed to release Moondust.

She was inspired by seeing a super moon when I was out walking the dog one night. (The dog insists on being walked rather than being let out into the garden.) The moon looked so bright and clean, it was as if someone had blown all the dust off it.

That got me thinking what kind of being would blow the dust off the moon and I came to the conclusion it must be some sort of space goddess. I knew right from the start she would have a dark blue cloak that would contain galaxies but it took a while for the rest of the design to come together.

It did show me how important stitching up a model is - I originally chose silver-lined beads as the moondust but they didn't really show up on the fabric. Even the antique ones I eventually chose have proved difficult to catch on camera.

As with all of my designs, she's available at www.craftydownloads.com - you need to select cross stitch charts and cursor through to find them.
