Saturday Share
When one of the week's themes on the Facebook page Cross Stitch Showcase is flowers I always groan because I know it will be really difficult to choose just one design to share.

But I should have realised that the fabulous designers out there would have loads to share on the other themes,

And there was one design that really spoke to me because it reminded me of an ambition I've had since I was eight years old and is the only childhood ambition I haven't accomplished. I can still remember the sense of awe I had when I visited the Natural History Museum in London and saw the model of the blue whale.

It's strange because although I have a very clear memory of the emotion, my memory of the exhibit isn't very clear at all - possibly because I've watched them on TV so often over the years. But the ambition is to see them in real life. One day...

But in the meantime, this week's Saturday Share is Whale Fluke, an original design by White Willow Stitching's Jamie Larson. You can find it here.
