Update from ALB
One VATMESS, two books, another crafty venture and it's little wonder things have been very quiet on the ALB Cross Stitch front, although there are some new and different designs on their way.

Firstly, the VATMESS - I've blogged and tweeted about it enough and I know I'm not the only person who's been left fuming about how European member states didn't feel it necessary for small businesses to have a threshold before the changes in VAT applied. Thanks to some very hard working people at the EU VAT Action Campaign they're going to start talking about it next year. The sad thing is that the OEDC seems to think that VAT in place of purchase rather than place of sale is a marvellous thing and works brilliantly. (hmph!)

The books - I am researching and writing a non-fiction book and writing a fiction book. I'm really enthused about both but they are taking up time.

Then there's Tree Jewels - you can find them here and they're on sale at Folksy. Yep, there's a blog over there that I really should be updating more often than I am but see the paragraph above... It is much harder work because time and money mean that for the moment I'm using a free website for them that doesn't get featured on search engines. But you can find them plus all the Saturday Shares from here that are still available on Pinterest - here's the link.

I like Pinterest - it enables me to share the work of my rather brilliant cousin James Birk, who's a writer and has been known to do the odd bit of stand-up comedy. I think we get it from our grandfather who had an amazing ability to draw pictures with words.

So, that brings me to ALB Cross Stitch. Lady Maud is finished but has yet to be framed. There is a new Lady Elinor design that's about two-thirds stitched up. There are also some new finished designs which need stitching. I'm really excited about one called Moondust because it's been in my head for about 18 months, She looks fabulous on paper but I need to know if she works in threads before I release her.

At my current rate of progress I suspect it will be 2016 before anything new is released but here's hoping it will be the start of 2016 rather than the end!
