Generally I only share pictures - that's because my sewing skills are nowhere near as good as my cross stitch and blackwork skills and I tend to share the designs that I can imagine myself stitching if I reached the grand old age of 334 and had time to do everything I want to..
Happy New Year - I hope 2015 brings you all you could wish for. Right now, it's the first Saturday share of the year from the designers on Facebook's Cross Stitch Showcase and, as it's been a while since the last one, I thought I'd share a couple that feature some of my favourite themes.
It's been a quiet week on the Cross Stitch Showcase this week. Partly it's the run-up to Christmas when we all get busy and partly it's because so many of us are worried about VATMOSS. But there were still loads of lovely designs to stitch from!.
Christmas stitching is a difficult one - large designs should probably have been started months ago and it feels a little too early to be stitching small designs. So,,, even though I was very tempted, I've resisted the urge to post a Christmas design this week - I have a little plan in mind for a couple of weeks' time.
OK so I've returned to the subject of copyright. It's one of my hobbyhorses because I live in hope that, eventually, people will see the harm they do. This time around it's not a designer who's complaining...
When the themes for the Facebook page Cross Stitch Showcase feature words like 'dragon' and 'flowers' I give a mental groan because I know it's going to be practically impossible to pick just one design to share. But I was wrong - because this week it was easy.
