Just squeezed this in on Saturday (my excuse for my tardiness is that I've had a very productive day stitching the next model).
Finally! I was beginning to think this would never happen but the latest Lady Elinor is finished and will be on her way to the framers as soon as they open.
Lots to choose from this week on the Facebook page Cross Stitch Showcase - and lots of themes coming up that are going to give me problems in choosing a favourite. But this week's share is....
I've been doing a bit of genealogy (well quite a lot, really as every discovery throws up more questions) and it was with some delight I discovered a very distant ancestor was a seamstress.
I love the artwork of William Morris so as soon as I saw this modern twist I knew it would be this week's Saturday Share (although I was quite tempted by the kingfisher)..
I usually try really hard to blog on specific days of the week - it's a vague attempt at organisation but yesterday I got engroseed as I attempted to make a final decision on the latest Lady Elinor design.
Given the thousands of cross stitchers on Facebook I wouldn't have said cross stitching is a forgotten skill - but hats off to Natalie Philpott for her project to resurrect forgotten skills.
Missing: one Saturday can anyone who finds it please return so I can use it!
The day job is keeping me busy this week and after seeing these it's probably just as well!
As a cross stitcher there are things I really need. I don't just mean I'd like but things that would make life so much easier.
